Some points of interest:
- The Council is concerned mainly with the setting up of civic offices and arrangements in the early months
- Concern over the state of streets leads, in May to purchase of "six barrows, two dozen of Collins best picks and two dozen shovels for the use of the Municipality"
- Misc business in June: "Council Clerk to call on Mrs Short and ascertain if a pig complained of by Mr Losee is a nuisance that, if so to endeavour to have the nuisance removed."
- Controversy in September over the appalling state of the Cemetery (at that time the cemetery covered all of what is now Camperdown Park)
